The brush head of Winsor & Newton Professional Watercolour Squirrel Point Brush is round with thick bellies which enables a large amount of paint to be held. The ferrule, used to hold the brush head in place, is made from natural goose quill instead of metal as it is more flexible and responsive.
Maintain and preserve your Winsor & Newton Professional Watercolour Squirrel Point Brush with the following steps. Wipe clean with a lint-free rag and rinse. Using mild soap and cool water, swirl in the palm of your hand and rinse. Repeat until water runs clear. Avoid strong soaps and hot water. Remove excess water, reshape brush and allow to dry completely before storing in a pot or jar with bristles facing upwards.
