Johnco Kameo DIY Colour Sensing Chameleon Robot Kit

Johnco Kameo DIY Colour Coding Chameleon Robot Kit combines robotics, coding and interactive play in a clever chameleon inspired design. Kameo is an engaging robotic companion that introduces children to colour recognition, sequencing and fundamental coding concepts through hands on experimentation and play.

The Johnco Kameo DIY Colour Coding Chameleon Robot Kit features colour sensing technology that allows Kameo to recognise and change colour to match the surface he crawls across, creating an entertaining demonstration of technology in action. Adding to his lifelike personality, Kameo can also launch his tongue when he senses danger, inspired by the distinctive behaviour of a real chameleon.

Children can enjoy Kameo as an interactive robotic pet or take their learning further with the included colour command cards. By arranging and experimenting with different commands, young creators can explore basic coding and sequencing concepts in an accessible, visual way. The Johnco Kameo DIY Colour Coding Chameleon Robot Kit encourages children to experiment, problem solve and discover how instructions can be used to control robotic actions.

Combining STEAM learning with construction and imaginative play, Kameo is ideal for children interested in robots, coding and technology. This award winning kit was recognised as the Educational/STEAM Product of the Year winner at the 2026 Australian Toy Association awards.
