Description
A baren is a disk-like hand tool with a flat bottom and a handle, used in Japanese woodblock printing.
The Japanese Plastic Baren is a hard plastic baren, measuring 120mm across, with 2mm beads covering its surface. When printing, place the paper over the inked woodblock and then firmly rub the Japanese Plastic Baren across the back of the paper. Apply even pressure to ensure the ink transfers smoothly from the block to the paper, creating beautiful print results.
The Japanese Plastic Baren offers better durability and does not require a bamboo covering like the traditional style.
