Hilldav Etching Press Direct Drive 2136

Hilldav Press Direct Drive 2136 is a small compact direct drive press driven by the hand wheel which connects directly to the bottom roller. It is suitable for metal plate, lino or wood block printing, ideal for students, schools and colleges.

The press is driven by a 660 mm (26") Dia. Hand Wheel. This wheel gives easy operation while maintaining "feel" for the plate passing through the roller. The bed plate is manufactured from black laminate which gives high compressive strength, is durable, light weight and dose not constitute the same danger of injury that a steel bed plate dose. The bed is supported on adjustable supports. A clear acrylic lay out sheet is provided with each press. The bed is supported by adjustable supports. The top and bottom roller is made from heavy gauge machined steel, with self aligning ball bearings.

The top roller is 114 mm (4¼") Dia. Machined and ground to high standard of finish. The Bottom Roller is 89 mm (3½") Diameter. Coarse Machined. Bed size 533mm x 914mm. Approximate weight of machine 45kg.
