Fome Felt Etching Blanket

The Fome Felt Etching Blanket is a high quality 4mm thick blanket. It provides cushioning between the etching plate and press roller when printing, helping transfer pressure from the press to the printing area. Felt Etching Blankets are useful in ensuring papers push into uneven plate surfaces, picking up ink from the grooves.

This Felt Etching Blanket from Fome is 100% wool and will need washing occasionally. To clean, hand-wash gently in cool-warm water using wool wash or a gentle detergent. Dry the blanket flat to ensure no damage is done to the felts – do not hang.
