Essdee Scraperboard Packs

The Essdee Scraperboards are artist grade boards used for illustrations and drawings. Made from illustration board that has a semi-gloss black Indian ink sprayed on a heavy white china coating, allowing for great contrast when making scraper art between the dense black and bright white.

Use a scraper tool to engrave lines on the smooth rigid surface, revealing the white coating beneath. A sketch can be drawn directly onto the surface using a pencil or trace a design onto the board, then scrape over your sketches to create beautiful artworks.

Scraperboards are well loved by artists and illustrators worldwide, allowing them to achieve highly detailed and precise artwork with subtle shading using hatching and stippling techniques. The super-smooth surface allows artists to work precisely in extremely fine detail. The Essdee Scraperboards can also be used as the perfect airbrush medium.
