Designed for sketching, drawing and mixed media work, Derwent Graphitint Water Soluble Graphite Pencils allow you to move seamlessly between dry graphite marks and soft, water activated washes.

Used dry, Derwent Graphitint Water-Soluble Graphite Pencils perform like a soft graphite pencil, making them ideal for shading, expressive line work and tonal studies. When water is applied, the graphite dissolves to reveal gentle colour undertones, adding depth and mood while still retaining the character of graphite. This makes them well suited to landscape drawing, figurative work, journaling and experimental techniques.

Each pencil features an easy to hold 8 ply round barrel with a smooth graphite and pigment core. The 4 mm strip is ideal for broad, expressive strokes, while sharpening to a fine point allows for controlled detail. Derwent Graphitint Water Soluble Graphite Pencils share the same physical properties as an 8B water soluble sketching pencil, with the added versatility of coloured pigment.

The striking grey metallic-stained barrel is finished with a colour-coded end dip and an angled silver band, making colour selection quick and easy while giving the pencils a refined, professional appearance.

Derwent Graphitint Water Soluble Graphite Pencils can be used on a wide range of drawing and watercolour papers and work beautifully alongside watercolour paints, inks, graphite sticks and water brushes.
