Charbonnel Aqua Wash Etching Inks 60ml

Aqua Wash Inks have been developed by the Lefranc & Bourgeois laboratory. The binder has an adhesive quality, flexibility and yellowing characteristics identical to those of traditional oil.

This water-washable oil-based emulsion ink is safe for hands and materials as they can be washed with soap and water. High in pigment concentration they are extremely lightfast and all the colours can be intermixed.

Wonderful for intaglio printing techniques such as: engraving, dry-point, mezzotint, etching and aquatint as well as monotype and relief printing techniques such as lino cuts and wood prints.

As black is the most commonly used ink, this range has a variety with different textures, shades and viscosity (determines level of adhesion and resistance to wiping).

Black RSR - Strong, viscous, subtle warm black.

Black 55981 - very viscous, for deeply etched lines or burin, mid black.

Black F66 - low viscosity, easy to wipe, mid black.

Carbon Black - low viscosity, easy to wipe, warm black.

Black 55985 - for deep etching, drypoint, burin and mezzotint, cold intense black.

Black luxe C - viscous, tacky and difficult to wipe, slightly bluish black.
