Byron Fabric Medium

The Byron Fabric Medium is an additive medium that can be mixed with acrylic paints to make them suitable for use on most synthetic and natural fibre fabrics! If you want to start fabric painting without buying a full range of fabric paints, this is just the medium for you!

Add 1 part Byron Fabric Medium to 1 part acrylic paint and stir thoroughly to combine. It is recommended to use an opaque acrylic paint for clean, even blocks of colour on your fabric. Always do a patch test first with your paint mixture onto your fabric to ensure the mixture will achieve your desired results.

Apply your paint & medium mixture onto the fabric surface using a brush or foam roller. Leave to dry for 12 hours. Once fully dry, heat set with an iron appropriate for the fabric on the reverse side of your piece, covering with a piece of cloth or baking paper. Fabric is machine washable once heat set at 40°C.

Byron Fabric Medium is simple to clean up prior to setting using soap and water.
