Description
Art Spectrum Kaolin is a powder made from pure china clay which is used as a filler to achieve an impasto effect with oil paints.
Impasto is a painting style in which paint is laid on canvas in thick layers creating an almost three-dimensional effect.
Art Spectrum Kaolin is also used for preparing grounds (gesso). Alternatively it can be used as a filler to extend oil paints but note that it can muddy the colour in oil paint.
