It promotes faster, more thorough drying of oils, ideal for painters who want to work for a large portion of the day on an artwork.
When painting with oils and using Archival Fat Medium, a rule is to always paint “fat” over ‘lean” if working in layers. This means that each succeeding layer of paint should have more “fat” (oil) content than the proceeding layer. This will prevent cracking in your oil painting.
