Add 2 parts water to 1 part alginate powder (e.g., 1L of water for 500g of alginate powder) and mix actively for 1 minute. (Don't worry about lumps - they won't make any difference to the end result.)\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e4. Pour the alginate mixture into the container with the object for casting.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e5. Wait for 10 minutes for the alginate to set. It should look and feel like jelly.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e6. Remove the mould from the container by sliding a butter knife between the mould and the container to let some air in.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e7.
